Saint Paul Bread Club Meeting Notes 10/16/2004

Holiday Breads

Breads are not just for every day. Probably every culture that makes bread has some breads that are made for special occassions, whether they are cultural, seasonal, religious, or all three.

Klecko set up the Saint Agnes bakery into three (and later 4) stations.

• Escargo ran a station with the membership list, a large collection of bread cookbooks, and samples of different breads.
• Klecko showed the baking of Yulekaga.
• Lorenzo had spun some special dough for people to try hand-forming decorative bread shapes.

This gathering was the largest the SPBC has ever had to date, powered by the large number of people who found out about the club from the Minnesota State Fair. The estimated total attendence was 59 people.

Jeff Fellows had a camera in his cell phone and took some pictures with it.
