Subject: distributing prototype code
Here's another interesting question for you all.
Do you think you could arrange to run tcl/tk on a system you have
easy access to?
Check the SunScript Home Page, http://sunscript.sun.com/
for the location to download tcl/tk. We need to pick a version.
I've mainly got tcl 7.6, tk4.2 available.
Once we all have tcl/tk available, we can put prototypes on the
web for downloading.
I have code for doing the tabbed dialog box and for tool tips (the
little help messages that appear as the cursor moves around an
application).
I have a directory on skypoint (ftp to ftp.skypoint.com as anonymous,
and cd to /pub/members/e/escargo) accessible via anonymous ftp.
It might be possible that others of us might also have anonymous ftp
direcories somewhere.
Failing that, we could put code on web pages and use save as to put the
code locally.
Admittedly, we might be better of starting with paper prototypes, but
I want to iron the bugs out of code distribution before we need it.
