FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSestival

Q: Why wasn't I invited?

A: Sorry about that. We lost our mailing list. Get in touch if you want to hear about future events.

Q: What is it?

A: A Party in the woods, The object of which is to hang out, drink beer, and skinny dip with other freaks. Live amplified rock & roll is provided.

Q: What does it cost?

A: Donations to the keg fund and the band's gas money are welcomed.

Q: How do I get there?

A: From Duluth, go north on HWY 61 to Two Harbors. At the Holiday station (your last chance for gas) take a left onto County RD 2. Follow 2 north for 45 miles (experiencing a jog to the right about halfway) until it ends in a “T” at HWY 1. Go right on 1 for about 3 miles to McDougal Lake RD. Go right on McDougal for about 1 mile and veer to the left at the first opportunity. If you come to a bridge you just missed it. Watch for bad rocks as you follow this road for about 2/3 mile. There will be a wide driveway on your right, turn in and turn to the right when it forks.

Q: What about camping?

A: CONDITIONS WILL BE RUGGED. BRING YOUR OWN WATER. Free camping and firewood, but you may have to scrounge for them. Bring warm bedding - it gets COLD at night and you will FREEZE if you don't. The importance of the foam sleeping pad cannot be overstated.

If you want facilities, there is a pay campground about a mile away.

Q: What happened to the rat bike rally?

A: Too much trouble, not enough bike coming up. Ride 'em if you got 'em, though (see the original MANIFESTO).

Q: How did it get to be the Fifth annual?

A: Once it stopped being a bike event, we could count 1999 as well.
