In 1860 Edward lived in the home of Wm. Kimble, Dyberry Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, with a "Rachael" Mathews, same age as brother Richard. May have been some confusion by the census enumerator.

In 1870 he lived at home in Spring Brook Township, then Luzerne County.

In 1880 he was a laborer, lived in a boarding house with brother Thomas, in Spring Brook Township, Lackawanna County.

In 1900 he lived in Old Forge (Main St. - Sibley), Lackawanna County.

In 1910 he lived on Fourth St. in Dunmore, Lackawanna County.

In 1920 Edward lived at Church St., Moscow, Lackawanna County.

Edward married Ada Havens who was born in October 1861 in New York.

He died before 1928.
