'Peede'

Spiny-Tailed Iguana

Ctenosaura Similis

Peede was discovered last summer living in a retaining wall in the parking lot of a podiatrisit's office in Minneapolis Minnesota. Fortunately, the podiatrist had a kind heart. Not only did she put food out for the lizard, she spent many hours trying to find someone who could trap the lizard before the cold weather set in.

When Peede was trapped last June, he was suffering from MBD. He also has 2 prominent scars on his back, which look like burns. He is quite small. Although fully recovered, he has continued to grow at a slow rate. Currently he is about 18" in total length.
