The Somnambule's Crime

Littérature (Still Under Construction)

Back from a triumphant campaign in Southern Africa the timorous office clerk went to bed
and later gave birth to a baby ghost with long steel fingernails. I read somewhere that that vandal
had scratched pornographic poems into the seat of an early Romantic-period outhouse conveniently
located near the Miracle Mile (still under construction). Rude pouting essays were also discovered
carved into library book covers. This autumn is fashionably spotted with dog shadows. After a book
signing at the Parthenon several “abbatoir operettas” were collaged from torn petticoats and it is obvious
that many third-magnitude stars are writing an introductory textbook on bad architecture. In light of
all this information I am writing a poem about dog shadows.
