| Mahler is my favorite composer. I did not relate to his music until I was about 34, and suddenly I could not hear it often enough. To me, it expresses the true essence of nature, of life on earth, and in the case of the final 3rd of his 8th symphony, of the triumphant union of the soul with the divine. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
