Things I have done differently in my family relationships since I started the study: Things I notice my family doing differently since I started this study:
  • I rented a car when we visited my son and daughter-in-law in March. The best of that choice was having one-on-one time driving each of the older children to school. They go to the same school and there is more to tell.
  • More phone calls to my son and his family.
  • More letters to my son and his family.
  • I used my technical skills and associations to purchase (and resell with the proceeds gifted to our son) tickets to the WCHA final four in Denver
  • Changed  how I ask for gift ideas on holidays and birthdays.
  • I I handled the income tax payments differently.

  • My son and daughter-in-law turn on the speakerphone and have taught the older two grandchildren how to do that as well.
  • Joy, the oldest grandchild (soon to be nine) will answer the phone when she hears me start to leave a message.
  • My son sent me gift ideas for the oldest grandson before I asked for some.
