LanLink Plus and LanLink with UUCP Mail are designed for businesses needing Internet access for many staff members over a shared office network without a major equipment investment. With LanLink, every computer on an organization's LAN can become a host on the Internet, identifiable by its own IP address. LanLink requires only a standard modem with a SLIP or PPP connection at speeds up to 28.8 kbps with the new 56 kbps option soon to come. You can choose LanLink with UUCP Mail for on-demand service for up to 120 hours per month or LanLink Plus for dedicated service with unlimited hours. SkyPoint handles all network and domain name registrations.

• LanLink with UUCP Mail
  Lanlink with UUCP Mail is the perfect low-cost solution for a business that expects it will need only a part-time connection to the Internet. Because e-mail is collected in bulk when a connection is made, the client will need a UUCP application on the host computer to pick up mail from the SkyPoint server. Additional setup at the customer site is required to distribute e-mail to individual machines on the LAN. LanLink with UUCP Mail services include:

  LanLink Plus is a great solution for organizations that expect to have users on the Internet most of the time. Each workstation that is given one of the IP addresses assigned by SkyPoint will be visible to the Internet as a host. Services include:

  • Routed Class C Subnet (255 IP Addresses) For Workstations On The Internal LAN
  • Dedicated Dialup 28800 bps Connection
